Dundas 3030 frontSearching for a laid-back, eclectic, multi-purpose venue that caters good food and craft beer at reasonable prices? Party spot with great acoustics, art vibe, and all-around great layout? High school style fun central with pinball machines? A spacious venue that won’t dwarf your mid-size group? 3030 Dundas West is your spot!

How do we describe the ambiance? It’s the karma karma karma karma chameleon… It’s an industrial-style pub, and just behind the curtain it’s a concert hall, while the rough brick walls and brass chandeliers may remind you of a medieval castle.

Suitability. The venue is perfect for a wedding with 75 to 150 guests (smaller weddings may work in the slower season, and slightly larger weddings may work as well depending on the setup). Because of its versatility and flexibility, the venue lends itself to themed weddings – think nerdy, vintage, music, or artsy. The room is long and spacious, inviting a natural division into ‘front’ (light, casual, fun place) and ‘back’ (dark, mysterious party central). Indeed, a curtain and two bars can separate the room for different parts of the day.

3030 Dundas West is located a short drive from High Park and Humber River parks, which are popular photography destinations (photo permit may be required and is sold separately). Barrier-free access means that reduced-mobility guests can enjoy themselves as well.

Food and drink. The venue prides itself on its seasonal menu (including house-butchered and house-cured meats) and beer selection (rotating craft beers on tap). With its best at your service, the venue will customize the wedding menu to the wishes of the couple.

Dundas 3030 backEntertainment. 3030 Dundas West has superior acoustics and audio-visual setup, perfect for stage performances or unusual musical instruments to make your wedding truly unique. The pub’s resident mixology expertise makes it a natural fit for alcohol-related entertainment (beer tastings or custom cocktails).

Cost – as of September 2018. 3030 Dundas West charges a room rental fee, which covers the furniture, linens and table settings. The fee varies depending on the month and day. July, August and September tend to have lower rental fees, with Saturdays available for around $3,000 plus HST. In the fall and winter months the rental can go up to $6,000 plus HST. An example of a premium two-course meal could cost $60 plus HST per guest, and the venue offers ways to reduce the reception cost (perhaps by opting for a brunch reception or food stations). The drinks could cost approximately $40 plus HST per guest (which is the minimum of 5 drinks per person), or more if the minimum purchase is exceeded. The mandatory gratuity on catering is 18%. The audio visual fee of $1,500 plus HST buys you access to the venue’s equipment, which saves you money on renting speakers, microphones, lights, and possibly even a DJ (Spotify playlist would get you covered).
